Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated June 1, 2026

AudioDock is a tool, and like any tool it can be used well or badly. This policy sets out the small number of things we ask you not to do. Because your files are processed entirely on your own device, almost all of the responsibility — and the freedom — sits with you.

Use it for work you have the right to do

Only process audio you own or are otherwise permitted to handle. Do not use AudioDock to infringe copyright, violate someone's privacy, or produce material that is illegal where you are. Since the processing happens locally, we have no visibility into your files and cannot police their contents; that makes lawful use your responsibility.

Do not abuse the hosted site

The website itself is shared infrastructure. Do not attempt to disrupt it, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, scrape it with automated scripts, or otherwise interfere with other people's ability to use it. Reasonable, human use of the tools is exactly what the site is for.

Do not misrepresent the project

Do not pass AudioDock off as your own product in a way that deceives others, and do not use the name or branding to imply an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist. The underlying open-source components remain subject to their own licenses, which you are free to use accordingly.

Enforcement

For the local tools, enforcement is largely a matter of your own compliance, since we cannot see what you process. For the hosted site, we may restrict or block access that threatens its stability or other users. If you are unsure whether a use is acceptable, ask us before proceeding.
